Huge Fossilized Carbon Footprint Unearthed in Belle Meade, Tennessee

A huge fossilized carbon footprint discovered in Tennessee is destined to rewrite the story of human origins.

Unearthed during the initial excavation for a new home being built in the tony Belle Meade neighborhood near Nashville, the colossal fossil is strong evidence that the human race may have arisen at some time in the distant past and then gone extinct due to the effects of global warming.

"It's a tantalizing, if very sobering proposition" , sez Biff Goreal, a paleanthropologist called in by the state of Tennessee to oversee the dig site.

"It's entirely possible that homo sapiens has evolved, flourished, industrialized and then produced enough greenhouse gases to cause it's own extinction repeatedly throughout prehistory."

Other scientists are not as convinced of this scenario, suggesting that vast herds of uintatherium may have been largely responsible for causing global warming induced extinction events in the past through methane production.

This photo gives some idea of the scale of the gynormous fossilized carbon footprint that was found.

Were vast herds of uintatherium stretching across the far hills as far as the eye can see the real culprits when it came to repeated extinction events of homo sapiens in prehistory?
