June 21st, 2009 The small town of Mink Creek, Idaho has borne the brunt of repeated and increasingly violent attacks from the various species of walrus indigenous to the area. These attacks or 'Random Acts of Walrus' as the locals call them, are characterized by cars being overturned or 'tusked' by huge bull walruses as they sit helplessly in rush hour traffic or children becoming overwhelmed by armies of small pygmy walruses swarming out in the thousands to hunt for prey. While not all the attacks are of a violent nature, walruses may help carry home a bag of groceries, or wash someone's car perhaps, yet their presence in the town of Mink Creek is still felt as very intimidating by the residents. The Big Tusk Walrus of Idaho is normally a docile, loving creature, prone to lolligagging lazily about all day. The pygmy walrus, while known to swarm in certain years due to periodic migratory patterns, usually keep to themselves in vast underground tunnel systems. |

Thousands of tiny tusk marks on this boy's arm and neck belie the terrific ordeal he suffered when he was overwhelmed by a vast herd of pygmy walruses. (His hair looks sorta weird because he's from Idaho). |
